Portfolio: Intranet Site Design

Project Description

At Tufts Health Plan, we needed a new intranet design as a stop-gap solution 18 months before we were planning to launch a new LMS, which would effectively become the group's intranet presence.

Goal

The goal of this project was to produce an easy-to-use intranet site that allowed users to browse all learning content, both instructor-led and Web-based, as well as request custom learning solutions. We knew that we were going to launch a new LMS within the next two years, but the old intranet site – where all employees went to browse learning content – was lacking key features and was limited. It had also been designed "way back" in 2006. Due to limitations of the Lotus Notes publishing structure, which used frames, the CSS drop-down menus had to be converted to pop-up menus.
